INSTAPHYSIQUE was born from Amy’s desire for a workout that was all the things she was looking for in one… challenging, efficient, effective, results-oriented and fun. Amy was introduced to the first version of the Mega in 2006 in Los Angeles. She fell in love with the constantly evolving work out and was immediately addicted. After two decades in LA, she ditched her 9-5 and moved back to her native Sacramento in 2015 to blend her passions of fitness and business – introducing the community to this life-changing workout, and realizing her dream of creating a space that would force you to drop into the moment like nothing else and serve you the best 40 minutes of your day.

InstaPhysique is…?
An evolution in fitness thinking – a workout that has a level of intensity and challenge that forces you to look at how you communicate with yourself. It’s a community built around mindful and intense movement that is welcoming and non-judgmental …where people feel safe, empowered, energized, and know each other’s names.

Why do you love this workout?
It’s the most effective, functional, and low-impact I’ve ever found. As a single mom, finding time to workout can be a struggle – I love the efficiency of our workout as it safely checks every box in such a short amount of time. More importantly, the physical practice of InstaPhysique never fails to shift my mind set – to make me FEEL strong and empowered in my body, my mind and in my spirit. This is my wish for everybody that walks through our doors!

Ande

Position: Coach

Ande is an Eastern Washington transplant trading the snow for sun in her new home of Sacramento. The rebounder drew her to InstaPhysique, but the community and workouts made her feel instantly at home. When she is not bouncing or sweating it out on the Mega, you can find her adventuring in the outdoors or curled up with tea, a good book and her cat and dog. She is so excited to get to know more of the InstaSquad and get them bouncing with her!

What is your favorite rebounder move?
I love a classic front-back.

What is your class like in 3 words?
Sweaty, invigorating and fun!

InstaPhysique is more than just the workouts. It is where I challenge myself physically, mentally and emotionally to build relationships and strength, while having fun!

Why do you love this workout?
I love the challenge that bounce and mega provide. Each class allows me to celebrate and show gratitude for my strength- body and mind!

Anna

Position: Coach

Born & raised in Sacramento, Anna returned the the City of Trees to raise her family after spending 10 years in Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. She’s a total sucker for the self-empowerment physical challenges can provide, which is why she loves coaching at InstaPhysique, and why you’ll usually find her training for some sort of race in between her full time sales job & trying to keep her young sons in line.

Why do you love this workout?
It never gets easy! Plus I love how it compliments so many other activities (like running & cycling) without stressing the joints.

Brian

Position: Director of Coach Development

From an office to the studio, Brian “left his desk job” to hang out at InstaPhysique more. Brian is our full-time Coach Development Director – his passion is empowering others in their voice, leadership, and sense of self.

Innocent-looking, but not 😉

InstaPhysique is…?
A community where you can safely build relationships with others and yourself. This workout, while challenging, encourages you to connect with your body and find meaning in what it is ACTUALLY capable of! At InstaPhysique, we encourage each other and receive that encouragement in return. There’s so much love!

Why do you love this workout?
Honestly, I used to highly dislike strength training and wrote it off as “not being my thing.” This workout stopped that narrative and changed my outlook. It really is for anybody and any BODY. And I’m here for it!

Caroline

Why do you love this workout?
I love this workout because for 40 minutes I put 100% of my energy into myself. It’s an investment in my physical and mental well-being. We were built to overcome anything and life is too short for mediocrity.

Grace

What do you love about this workout?

It’s the only one that I have found that is kind to my body while also challenging my body and making me stronger. I know this is the best thing I am doing for myself to keep me feeling good and healthy and happy for a very long time!

Madeline

Madeline is a Sacto-transplant turned Sacto-ambassador, proudly repping the nickname “Midtown Maddy.” She can usually be found walking her pup around town, whipping up a delicious vegan meal, or tuning into the latest music releases. Newspaper! There is something about this move that combines strength with stretching that is equal part challenging and rewarding, even in the moment.

Why do you love this workout?

I love InstaPhysique because it’s quick, effective, and fun! I had never held a consistent exercise routine until joining InstaPhysique as a client. I attribute that to the length of classes (you can spare 40 minutes of your busy life!), the effectiveness of the classes, and the community at each studio. All of this makes you see results, feel at home with your people, and keeps you coming back.

Why do you love this workout?
It is the best 40-minute workout.  I used to spend hours int he gym and have never gotten results like I get from Insta! The work we do on the Mega gets you in shape fast. Even if you are just starting out, give it 3 classes and you will see results. No other workout has ever done that for me!

Jackie

Why do you love this workout?
InstaPhysique leaves me sweaty, shaky, sore…and always wanting more. I love that it’s constantly challenging, and that as I continue to strengthen my mind and body, I see positive results in every aspect of my life.

Kristin R.

Kristin is a grandmother of four, lover of trail runs and the outdoors, and of course InstaPhysique. By day, she is a community health program coordinator at a local health center focusing on traditional Native American herbal medicines and youth programming.

The best workout you will find out there! You will see changes happen quickly and build functional strength to assist with activities outside the studio as well as injury prevention and even rehabilitation. Plus, we have the most amazing and supportive community! We sweat together, laugh together, and die a little together on the mega.

What do you love about this work out?

The adaptability! It can be modified for everybody.  And there is no plateau point- you just keep getting stronger. The mobility work you get along with the strength component is always fantastic!

Kyra

Position: Coach

Kyra was born and raised in western Washington but decided to put down roots in East Sacramento with her daughter, stepson, husband, and puppy. Having tried various workouts around town, she found her spot at InstaPhysique when the doors first opened. When not at the studio, Kyra is either working her day job in IT or reading a new book (probably with a yummy cocktail!).

I am not a runner at all, but I love Runner’s Lunge!

A welcoming community full of people showing up to challenge themselves – both physically and mentally.

Why do you love this workout?

It is the most effective workout that can stand alone or compliment other fitness activities. You get everything all in 40 minutes – and it goes by so quickly! I fell in love with the results I saw within myself after starting to take classes at InstaPhysique, and I am excited to contribute to this wonderful community!

Leslie

While living in Los Angeles, Leslie discovered the Lagree workout, and instantly fell in love and got hooked on the intensity without impact. After moving to the Bay Area, Leslie decided to take the next step in becoming an instructor! By day, she teaches elementary school, so it felt natural to extend her love of teaching to the Megaformer. Leslie now resides in Sacramento with her husband and golden retriever!

My 40 minutes where I prioritize myself and well-being. I love being surrounded by this amazing community where we all work and grow together!

Why do you love this workout?
Because I can see the clear benefits on a daily basis. Less back pain, greater endurance, better control, balance, and flexibility…There is no limit on how you can challenge yourself, and I am constantly humbled by this machine and the strength of the squad. I have done Lagree for over four years and am still addicted!

Morgan

Position: Coach, Programming Director

Morgan is 1 part athlete, 1 part nerd. She was a competitive swimmer through college and has her PhD in neurobiology. Now, she is our programming director. When she isn’t thinking about brains or beasting it out on the Megaformer, she can usually be found with a margarita in one hand and a taco in the other.

Why do you love this workout?
Insta makes me shake, Insta makes me sweat, and Insta makes me sore. Every. Single. Time. It doesn’t get any better than that!

Natalie

Position: Studio Manager

Natalie is a northern California native who loves a good sweat. When she’s not at the studio, Nat runs the Art History Babes podcast, where she sips wine and talks about art with her friends. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors and visiting museums and galleries.

Rosalyn

A mom of 3 kids, Rosalyn has a wonderful husband and peppy dog named Murphy. She loves space and science fiction – Star Wars is her jam! A lover of books, you may find her randomly talking about what she’s reading. During the day, Rosalyn practices Occupational Therapy in the local school district, where she feels honored to work with her students and progress their motor skills.

CATFISH! To eat and the move. I love to be light on my toes and really squeeze in my abs. Best move ever.

Rosslyn K.

Position: Coach

A mom to two young daughters, a small business owner, and a graphic designer, Rosslyn discovered Lagree through a friend while living in San Francisco. Her ongoing passion for fitness compelled her to pay it forward and motivate others. She earned her Lagree level 1 certification, is a NASM certified personal trainer and loves being on the other side of the Mega to spice things up.

Sarah P.

Position: Coach

Sarah grew up in Danville, CA and has adored dance and science since the age of 4.  Sarah is a full-time Lead Pharmacist, but her heart finds fulfillment in moving with others, hence why she also pursued my AFAA certification as a group fitness instructor. A phenomenal supported practice on a Megaformer. Across various spring loads of resistance the flow of movements offers challenges that test an individual’s strength, flexibility, balance, & endurance. It will push an individual’s mental & physical limits in a safe & non-intimidating environment.

Why do you love this workout?
I absolutely adore how Insta never gets easier, but we as a community we get better. It is wonderful to shake & grit my teeth on the Mega alongside such a kind and welcoming community. I have 11 lines on my abs because of this practice and could not be more excited about how my strength & endurance have grown. We are stronger together as an InstaSQUAD, for sure!

Why do you love this workout?
I love InstaPhysique because it challenges your body and mind. I love that it follows the science of movement and is always evolving. The moves we do on the Mega are exercises I would give my patients as rehab. Functional movement = a functional and healthy body!
